Up to 4 guests can fit comfortably, please note that bed, bedding and towels are only provided for 2 guests. The space will fit 2 camping beds or 2 blow up beds/roll mats comfortably. Facilities include shower, toilet, camping kitchen with gas hob and still, camping fridge, cutlery, crockery, glasses, tea towel and bin. The space Glamping surrounded by rolling fields on the edge of Exmoor, overlooking a lake. Up to 4 guests can fit comfortably, please note that bed, bedding and towels are only provided for 2 guests. The space will fit 2 camping beds or 2 blow up beds/roll mats comfortably. Facilities include shower, toilet, toiletries, camping kitchen with gas hob and grill, camping fridge, cutlery, crockery, glasses, washing bowl, tea towel and bin. Inside the tent there is a gas stove and kettle and depending on number of guests, there is a camping sofa. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the all weather tennis court, games room with pool and table tennis (dependant upon restrictions). 2 acres of gardens including the lake. Deer's Leap Retreat is in a quiet rural setting. A few miles from the famous Tarr steps. Mid-way between the beautiful little town of Dulverton and the historic market town of South Molton. Within Driving distance of the North Devon coast and accessible for riding stables out onto the moor. Sat navs will often try to take guests beyond the end of our drive. Turn left by the Deer's Leap Retreat sign at the top of the drive. Signal can be intermittent with certain networks. Guests may want to bring their own camping chairs and table, windbreak, sun umbrella, beach towels, torch, light lanterns and dressing gown as toilets are a few meters from tent.

It's a national park and an area of outstanding national beauty. We're 6 miles from the nearest town, so deep in the countryside, however,... most supermarkets deliver here. The North Devon coast is popular with surfers and we are not far from the River Exe and River Barle, which are both popular for kayaking. Dulverton, and Exmoor in general have amazing gastro pubs and teashops. There is a chance that guests may sight, buzzards, red deer and Exmoor ponies. This is a great countryside for walking, biking, riding and wildlife lovers. West Anstey sits just outside the southern boundary of Exmoor National Park in North Devon. Dulverton (in Somerset) is approx 5 miles (15 minutes drive). It is a beautiful town on the banks of the River Barle, known as the southern gateway to Exmoor and it is also home to the head quarters of the Exmoor National Park. Dulverton is well equipped with shops including Post Office, butchers, bakery, fish & chip shop, greengrocer, late-opening supermarket, art gallery, hairdressers, guns and fishing tackle shop. There are also a number of quality boutiques, interesting gift shops plus a handful of lovely restaurants, tea rooms and pubs. South Molton is around 10 miles away and is an interesting and lively country town, with a good selection of shops and pubs. Thursdays and Saturdays are market day with a local market in the historic Pannier Market hall, as well as a busy livestock market. Barnstaple is the regional centre for North Devon and offers a more comprehensive selection of commercial, retail and leisure facilities, the famous Pannier Market and Butchers Row is worth a visit– excellent for both meat and locally caught fish. Exmoor provides a great base for walking, cycling, horse riding and exploring. There are also opportunities to play golf at the famous Saunton Sands Golf Course or to visit a number of outstanding gardens such as those at Marwood and RHS Rosemoor. It is also the place for anyone who just wants to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the North Devon countryside. West Anstey is within easy reach of Tarr Steps, The Chains - a wonderful place for the experienced walker, the Tarka Trail, the North Devon coastal path, Woody Bay and the Valley of the Rocks as well as Lynton and Lynmouth. The beaches of Saunton, Croyde and Woollacombe are less than an hour away. There are a number of local National Trust properties nearby including Knightshayes, Dunster Castle and Arlington Court.
