Bamboo Cottage, Timberscombe

The village pub is just couple of minutes on foot from the cottage (if that!). At present it does not serve food.

Dunster village has a great selection of pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and cafes.

In the opposite direction, Wheddon Cross has a village pub called The Rest and Be Thankful Inn, plus a mini-supermarket with long-opening hours (at the petrol station). 

The nearest main supermarkets are in Minehead, Tesco, Lidl and Morrisons. There's also a fantastic farm shop and butcher on Hawkesworth Road (next to Tesco car park) called Stuart Lowen Farm Shop. Well worth a visit for local meat and produce, open Monday to Saturday 7.30 am to 5 pm. Please support our local traders.

There are endless walks and hikes from just outside the cottage to further afield all over Exmoor.

Dunster beach is long and dog friendly where you can walk for miles.
