Old Priory Cottage is totally self-contained but is attached to the main house. The property was built in the 12th century as a small Benedictine priory. The front door opens into the sitting-room with beams, window seat and Victorian log-burner in an open fireplace. A door leads to the farmhouse kitchen with a large open fireplace, wooden flooring and beams. There is an unusually large cottage stairway leading to two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. One bedroom has a double bed plus a single, so it can be used as a double or twin room, and the second bedroom is a twin with two single beds. Please note, the maximum number of guests in this property is 4.

Road parking is usually available but there is also off-road parking for one car in the open garage. Bicycles etc. can be stored, wet outdoor clothes dried in a small barn next to the cottage.

Old Priory Cottage kitchen is fitted with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, Kenwood mixer, electric oven and hob. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
A television with DVD player, CD player and radio are provided and wifi is available throughout the property.

Electricity and heating
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. In addition to the wood-burners Old Priory Cottage benefits from gas central heating throughout.
Linen and towels
Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.

A small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available.

Outside the property
The garden is shared with the owner (who lives next door and has a dog) and there is a private courtyard behind the fig tree with table and chairs. There is also private access to the church garden.

Arrival and departure

Old Priory Cottage is available for week breaks (Friday to Friday) during peak periods. Short breaks may be available at other times.
