Originally a traditional Exmoor barn, the property has been carefully converted into a single-storey holiday cottage suitable for a couple, there really is space to relax and enjoy a peaceful break. The spacious open-plan living area includes a dining table with four chairs and two sofas, TV, and an electric fire. Patio doors lead outside from there also. The well appointed kitchen has plenty of work surfaces and includes an under-counter fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine, microwave, and electric oven plus hob. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of cookware, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses. The bedroom has king-size bed with en-suite shower room, comprising shower, toilet and hand basin, as well as a separate family bathroom, comprising bath, toilet and hand basin. Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The property is fitted with night storage heaters. There is also a hot water booster, in case needed, which heats the water very quickly. Bed linen, duvets, and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. There may be non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available. Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, and surface cleaner will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided per toilet. Dogs (over the age of 12 months) are welcome for a supplement of £10 per dog per stay, maximum of 2 dogs per booking. Please do not allow your dogs on the furniture. The electric heater panel heater in the sitting room is very efficient and there is also the electric woodburner. These are very simple switch on, turn up or down. The storage heaters can be controlled by putting the input on high and the output on high – or turning down if it gets too warm. From the living area patio doors slide open on to a patio area with table and chairs, this area is enclosed by a low railing fence. On the other side of the cottage, steps lead up to a private garden laid to lawn with summer house, BBQ and the elevation offers lovely moorland views. In addition, just away from the cottage there is a communal picnic area, shared with the other properties (this is enclosed). Byre Cottage is a situated within is a small development of holiday let properties, there are 8 other properties on this site some of which are also let for holidays. Byre Cottage enjoys the corner position of the U-shape barn building.
