This five-bedroom countryside holiday home comfortably hosts up to 10 guests. With tasteful décor and sweeping countryside views, this two-story, dog-friendly cottage offers underfloor heating for a cosy retreat in North Devon. Guests can explore the nearby coast and Exmoor National Park with ease.
The Tallet is ideal for accommodating large families or groups, comfortably sleeping up to 10 guests by combining the former Upper and Lower Tallet. It offers three bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor, along with two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the ground floor. Additionally, there's an extra kitchen and living room on the ground floor, providing a peaceful retreat. During off-peak weeks and outside school holidays, Upper Tallet, which accommodates up to six guests, can be booked separately. To book the Upper Tallet, select six or fewer guests when choosing your dates. Please note that booking at a reduced occupancy rate includes access to only the first-floor bedrooms and bathroom. To enjoy the entire house with access to ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms, you must book The Tallet as a whole. The second bedroom maintains a traditional style and features a king-size double bed, a spacious wardrobe, and a dressing table with picturesque countryside views. The 3rd bedroom offers flexibility for friends and family. Upon request, it can be set up with either a super-king-size double bed or two full-size single beds. Additionally, this room features a built-in wardrobe. DOWNSTAIRS The cosy living room is an all-season retreat, featuring two comfortable sofas surrounding a wood-burning stove and a wall-mounted TV. Adjacent to the living area is the apartment's dining space, with a table for up to four people and a desk for work or leisure. The kitchen, with dual aspects, is tastefully decorated and well-equipped with premium worktops and fixtures, including an electric oven/hob, microwave, washing machine, and a fridge with a freezer compartment. It also provides a range of pots, pans, and other essentials for a self-catering holiday. The main bedroom at Lower Tallet is bright and airy, offering a king-size bed, two large bedside tables, and a freestanding pine wardrobe. The modern en-suite bathroom in this bedroom features a walk-in shower with a rainfall head, a washbasin, and a WC. The second bedroom in Lower Tallet boasts a standard-sized double bed and a built-in fitted wardrobe. It has its own en-suite bathroom, complete with a walk-in shower, a washbasin, a WC, and a heated towel rail.

The larger town of Barnstaple boasting an array of supermarket, independent and chain stores, bars, cafes, tearooms, a theatre, a cinema, a bowling alley and a good choice of restaurants is also less than a 10 minute drive away. Beach days can be enjoyed at Woolacombe, Croyde, Saunton and Westward Ho!. For keen walkers, both the South West Coast Path and Exmoor National Park provide plenty of opportunities to wander miles and miles surrounded by spectacular views and unspoilt countryside.
