The Linhay is a spacious and comfortable barn conversion that is well placed for exploring North Devon. Alternatively, you can explore our 2 acres of gardens, swim in the covered outdoor pool (May-Sep) and meet the animals.
The Linhay is a split-level property with a private entrance, one of six cottages on our site, attached to the Shippon. Access the cottage via a small porch. Inside, you'll find an open-plan dining and living area with a table and chairs for five; a high chair is available upon request. A Bluetooth speaker allows you to enjoy your favorite music while dining or relaxing. The living area has ample sofa space for the whole group to sit together and watch TV or chat. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven, and hob. It is well-stocked with crockery, cutlery, glasses, and pans. There is also a dishwasher and a washer/dryer for the exclusive use of Linhay guests. A small flight of stairs leads to the lower hallway, where you'll find the main bedroom, twin room, and family bathroom. The spacious main bedroom has an ensuite shower room and enough space for a cot if needed. The single bedroom is located at the opposite end of the cottage, accessed directly from the open-plan living area, which is ideal for older children who enjoy having their own space away from younger siblings. In addition to private use of the Linhay, guests have shared access to several on-site facilities: Outdoor covered swimming pool: Available from May half-term until the end of September. Games room: Open to all guests. Gardens: Shared access to approximately 2 acres of gardens with picnic benches and garden chairs for dining or relaxing. Car parking: One reserved parking space for Linhay guests, located next to the cottage.

We offer 2 acres of gardens for guests to relax or play. Mature shrubs and trees create smaller, secluded areas, perfect for finding a quiet spot to read while children play nearby. The shared games room and outdoor play area provide opportunities for children to play together and make new friends. The outdoor swimming pool is open from May half term to early September from approx 9am - 8pm. Our new pool heater keeps the water at a comfortable 28°C, perfect for swimming from May to September. Ideal for all ages, including the littlest swimmers. The pool measures 11.5m by 5m and is 1.68m deep at its deepest point. Free use of the swimming pool is included with your cottage rental. There is no booking system for the pool; it is a shared facility open to all guests. The games room is open 24/7 (please keep noise to a minimum after 9pm). Popular activities include table tennis and table football. There are toys and games for toddlers and younger children. We offer a large selection of books for you to borrow and enjoy in the gardens or your cottage. All toys and games are free to use, with no hidden charges. Beach item library: borrow buckets, spades, and windbreaks for your beach trips. Guests can freely enjoy and explore our 2 acres of gardens. Garden chairs and picnic benches are available for relaxing or outdoor dining (you can move them to your preferred spot). We offer BBQs for you to borrow; just bring your own charcoal. Take a short stroll along our stream or splash in its waters. The mix of open grass areas and mature trees provides sunny spots and shady retreats. We frequently have home-grown fruit, vegetables, and eggs available for purchase. Enjoy seasonal produce that has travelled food meters, not food miles. We take pride in growing our own food and are always happy to show you around our gardens and share tips. The eggs we sell on-site come from our own small flock of hens.
