An exquisite sunroom with double patio doors leading directly onto the riverside gardens Living room with huge inglenook fireplace and comfortable seating for cosy evenings in Large farmhouse kitchen, with modern appliances such as dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, electric double cooker and gas hob. Convenient utility room for wet boots and coats Downstairs W.C. Upstairs family bathroom with shower over the bath. Large enclosed garden with river frontage, access to river along the whole frontage, not fenced along the river side. Dogs welcome (2 maximum) for supplement of £15 per dog. Off-road parking for 2 cars Village location, village pub, tea rooms and shop all within easy walking distance. Shopping orders taken at The village shop for your convenience. The open moorland also just a short distance from the front door! Arrive from 4 pm Depart by 10 am You are welcome to have guests visit you but they may only stay overnight if the bed spaces are not exceeded. We may ask you to leave if any of your group is causing a disturbance and in these circumstances there will be no refund for holiday days lost.

The accommodation briefly comprises: Downstairs; Living room with large fireplace with wood-burning stove, an extremely well appointed farmhouse kitchen, utility room and downstairs W.C. An exquisite sunroom (third bedroom if required) with double patio doors leading directly onto the riverside gardens. Upstairs; two large bedrooms, one double with antique brass bed and a further well furnished family room with one double and a single bed. A family bath/shower room with W.C All rooms enjoying views of the river and gardens. There is a travel cot if required for an additional fee. The stair gate is provided in the cottage (please bring your own bedding for the cot). A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are provided for your convenience. Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The cottage has oil-fired central heating which can be adjusted to suit your preferences and the seasons. A starter basket of logs and kindling will be provided for the wood-burner in the cooler months. Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips and/or for use in the garden/river. There may be non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available. Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets/powder, and surface cleaner will be present in the property. Two toilet rolls will be provided per toilet and hand wash. Dogs are welcome but not permitted to on the furniture or upstairs. Dogs are charged at £15 per dog, maximum of 2 dogs per booking.

The gardens at Bridge Cottage are a delight. The river boundary at the far end is an idyllic settling for paddling with the family in the warmer months. There is garden furniture available for use in the summer months with the Barbeque. We would politely ask that you clean up after your dog in the garden. Situated in the centre of the village, the local shop and tea rooms is just 200 yards away, and approx 400 yards from the local pub, The Royal Oak Inn, Withypool, noted for good ales whilst serving excellent food in both the bar and restaurant.

Withypool is set in the heart of Exmoor and is surrounded by walks all over the moors, along the River Barl...e to Lanacre Bridge or Tarr Steps. There are guided walks organized for those who would like to learn more about the area, or if you fancy venturing out by yourselves, pop into the local village shop where they have plenty of walk books of the area. HORSE RIDING ACROSS THE MOORS Exmoor is a rider’s paradise. There are plenty of riding stables in the area. You can trek across the open moorland, through picturesque villages or spectacular wooded riverside trails. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, Exmoor can cater for your needs. FISHING Exmoor boasts some stunning places to fish. There are spectacular river valleys, lakes, ponds and also coastal fishing. With beautiful scenery and clean fresh air makes Exmoor a special pleasure that will make you want to come back time and time again. Day Tickets are available from various outlets, like hotels, tourist information offices, Local farms and specialist fishing agents. CLIMBING Exmoor has some spectacular high sea cliffs. Valley of the rocks is well known spot for climbing or if you fancying learning, we have an indoor climbing centre near South Molton. We have also one of the tallest rope courses just our side Minehead. CYCLING Exmoor provides some of the best cycle routes. There is quiet country lanes through small villages and hamlets, an array of bridle paths through gentle slopping valleys of for the real enthusiast, some steep challenging hills. Bring your own cycle or hire one locally and explore Exmoor’s peaceful, charming countryside. SAFARIS The perfect way to explore Exmoor. There are several safari companies on Exmoor. Whether you like to search out the elusive red deer and the famous Exmoor ponies, follow a local hunt or even just see what Exmoor has to offer, with its pretty villages and stunning winding valleys, hiring a guided safari is a great way to start your holiday. SHOOTING Exmoor has plenty of shooting experiences, whether its Clay pigeon shooting, a simulated game shoot or even a real game shoot, Exmoor offers it all. Experience is not essential as we can offer qualified instructors with lessons or for the experienced ones, put you in contact with organised local shoots. KIDS FUN Exmoor is surrounded by actives for the children. Walking; There are numerous walks in and around Withypool with beautiful scenery and landscapes. There are walking guides and maps available in the Shop. Cycling; We have some amazing hills which can be tackled on own bikes (Carport storage available for bicycles) or we are not far by car from the lovely flat tarka trail which runs from Braunton to Torrington in Devon. Minehead Beach, about 30 mins drive, man made sand beach with views across to Wales on a clear day. Woolacombe beach, about 40 mins drive, gorgeous sandy beach that stretches for miles. Beautiful beach on the North Devon Coast. Croyde beach, about 45 mins drive, renowned for its wonderful surfing also along North Devon Coast.
