Set in an idyllic coastal position Meadow View offers a quiet retreat in a glorious setting, offering self-catering accommodation for up to 5 guests in 2 bedrooms. It has a well equipped kitchen, lounge, dining room and bathroom plus a second toilet with wash basin.
Meadow View is well placed for an interesting holiday - go for a ride on a steam train on the West Somerset Railway, a wander around Dunster Castle and medieval village or catch the bus or train to Minehead where you could transfer to a sightseeing tour of Exmoor or the coast (July, August & September). There is something for all ages here! Sleeps up to 5 guests in two bedrooms One bedroom has a double bed and single bed, the other bedroom is a twin Fantastic views of Blue Anchor Bay Edge of Exmoor National Park and the Quantock Hills Private garden with outside table and chairs Wifi, heating and electricity included Bed linen provided Towels can be provided for £5 per person Arrive from 4 pm Depart by 10 am Meadow View lounge is a large bright room which is south-west facing and enjoys stunning panoramic views. The French Doors open onto the patio and garden and there is a gas fire for cosy nights in too. The dining room has table and chairs for 5 and like the lounge faces south-west with stunning panoramic views. There is also a single futon in the dining room which can be used to increase the flexibility of sleeping arrangements at Meadow View. Bedding can be provided for the futon if requested. The bathroom is light and spacious and includes a level walk in shower, bath, toilet and wash basin and heated towel rail. There is a second toilet with wash basin and shaver point. The double bedroom overlooks the garden and has a double bed and single bed. The twin bedded room has stunning views of surrounding countryside and coastline has 2 single beds. Both bedrooms include a mirror and hanging and drawer space and a chair. All beds include duvets, bed linen and pillows. Appliances and equipment The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, electric cooker, crockery etc with table and chairs.There is an adjoining utility room/larder with fridge/deep-freeze, worktop and plenty of storage space. Laundry facilities include washing machine, iron and ironing board, washing basket, pegs and clothes airer – there is a rotary clothes line in the garden. The lounge has an LCD television with digital terrestrial freeview, DVD player and a CD player and radio. A hair dryer is provided for your convenience. Electricity and heating Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. The property is fitted with central heating, which will be programmed for you but can be adjusted to suit your preferences. Linen and towels Bed linen is provided. Towels can be provided for a supplementary fee of £5 per person. Please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. Parking There is off-road parking on the drive in front of the bungalow. Garden The large rear garden has similar views to the lounge and provides plenty of space for children to play. The patio has table and chairs provided for alfresco dining and there is an additional set of garden furniture for use on a paved area at the bottom of the garden. Outside the back door is a double glazed rear porch - good for storing boots, wet weather gear etc. Part of the garage is available as a secure space for bikes, pushchairs, etc. Dogs Sorry, no dogs at Meadow View. Access information Meadow View is a detached bungalow set in a large slightly sloping garden. Access is via a short tarmac drive with double gates at the entrance. The bungalow is level inside apart from threshold strips (7.5 cms / 3 inches high) at the front and back entrances. The driveway slopes down from the road at a gradient of about 1 in 10. The house is set back about 15 metres from the road. There are outside lights operated by movement sensors. Cars can be driven to the front door for anyone with limited mobility where there is a level area with sufficient space to get out of a car. Smoking The property is strictly non-smoking. Local amenities Blue Anchor has two pubs, both of which provide food, 2 café s and a farm tea room. There is a local Nisa Store at Hoburne Caravan Park open March to end November. There is also a small indoor swimming pool. Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 4 miles from Blue Anchor. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco, Lidl and Morrison's are all situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town. Arrival and departure The property will be ready from 4 pm on the day of your arrival. Please depart by 10 am on the last day of your stay. Please leave the property clean and tidy so that we can guarantee it will be ready on time for our next guests. Changeover days Meadow View is available for week-long bookings from Sunday to Sunday. Short breaks may be available.

There are a number of cycling and walking opportunities, local maps are provided (Dunster is 2 miles across the fields and Minehead is 3 miles along the ...coast). For trips further a-field, the edge of Exmoor National Park is only a mile away, the towns of Minehead and Watchet (ancient sea port) are about 4 miles, Tropiquaria Animal and Adventure Park is 4 miles and for a main shopping centre, Taunton is 20 miles. And if you prefer something more restful then you can enjoy sitting on the patio or in the lounge and watch the steam trains go by or the sun go down over the sea or hills (depending on the season) at the end of the day.
